Charles Austin Morgan, 70 , of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, January 29th, 2021 at the W.G. Hefner VA Hospital in Salisbury.
He was born August 6, 1950 in Rowan County to the late Gilmer and Geneva Morgan.
He was a East Rowan High School Graduate. Charles worked at Performance Fiber as a Coordinator. He retired 2016. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry. Mr. Morgan was a U S Army veteran. He loved trips to the beach and spending time with his family. He volunteered with the Granite Quarry and Liberty Fire Depatments.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his Brother, Junior Morgan.
Charles is survived by his wife Betty Morgan , whom he married in 1996 ; Sons, Bryan (Kim) Torrence, Jason (Melissa) Morgan; Daughters, Wendy Torrence, Cindy (Danny) Rogers; Three Sisters, Margaret Casper, Sylvia Casper, Ruth Safrit; Two Brothers, Eli Morgan, Bobby Morgan; Three Grandsons, Joshua, Justin, Wil; Three Granddaughters, Brooke, Morgan, Anna; and also by 2 great grandchildren.
A Military Graveside service will be held at on Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the US National Cemetery in Salisbury with Pastor John Bryant officiating.
Memorials may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Foundation, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA; or to Shiloh United Methodist Church, Granite Quarry.
