Dennis Lee Holshouser
Dennis Lee Holshouser, 73, of Rockwell, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his home in Rockwell after a courageous battle with several years of declining health.
He was born January 22, 1948 in to the late James and Virginia Peeler Holshouser. Dennis was a 1966 graduate of East Rowan High School. He retired as a Mechanic for NC Highway Patrol. Dennis was an avid horseman, he was a charter member of the National Barrel Horse Association. He was a master mechanic especially on tractors and patrol cars. Dennis enjoyed fishing at the coast with his friends and listening to beach music. His friends and family were very special to him.
Dennis was a member of Organ Lutheran Church where he served as a former Church Council Member, and was a member of the Men's Fellowship. He loved his church family.
Dennis is survived by his wife Connie Kluttz Holshouser, whom he married November 22, 1968; son, Travis Holshouser of Raleigh; daughter, Amy Holshouser Powell and husband Shawn of Concord; granddaughters, Anna Scott Holshouser, Emmie Holshouser and Ella Powell; grandsons, Baxley Holshouser, Gavin Powell and Parker Powell; and special cousins, David Shue and Tim Shue.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm in the Organ Lutheran Church Parlor, Salisbury, NC.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Organ Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Corbell, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Organ Lutheran Church.
