Burnie Allen "Junior" Barringer

MISENHEIMER - Burnie Allen "Junior" Barringer, 86, 48381 Wesley Chapel Road, died Tuesday (Oct. 26, 2004) at Britthaven of Piedmont.

Born July 24, 1918, in Stanly County, Mr. Barringer was a son of the late Bernie "Tom" and Dora Morgan Barringer. He was a retired auto mechanic and an associate pastor.

Outreach minister of Britthaven and Stanly Manor nursing homes, he was a member of Masonic Lodge 657, Rockwell, and 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Eastern Star Chapter 317.

His first wife, Alice Louise Forrest Barringer, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by son Glenn Roger Barringer.

Survivors include wife Amelia Ann Eudy Barringer; sons Robert "Bobby" Barringer, Albemarle, William Douglas Barringer, Gold Hill, and Joseph Alonzo Barringer, Misenheimer; daughters Lorene Caudle, Albemarle, and Sharon Corl, Salisbury; sisters Edna Fraley, Archdale, and Geneva Roberson, High Point; stepdaughters Paula Almond, Wilmington, and Sheri Mooney, Lacama; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services: 4 p.m. Friday, Antioch Baptist Church, Richfield, conducted by the Rev. Joel Ervin, the Rev. Gene Sides and the Honorary Rev. Jason Lee. The body will be placed in the church at 2. Burial, church cemetery. Masonic rites by Masonic Lodge 657 of Rockwell.

Visitation: 2-3:30 p.m. Friday at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home on Wesley Chapel Road.

Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, is in charge.
