ALBEMARLE - Margaret Ruth Burris Eudy, 83, 24556 Cherokee Road, died Sunday (Dec. 26, 1999) at Britthaven of the Piedmont.
Born Feb. 16, 1916, in Stanly County, Mrs. Eudy was a daughter of the late Ellis and Junie Burris. She retired as a winder hand from Wiscasett Mills and was a member of Canton Baptist Church.
Survivors include husband William Daniel "Bud" Eudy; sons Ervin Eudy, Oakboro, Lamar Eudy, Statesville, and Sidney Eudy, Albemarle; daughter Amelia Barringer, Misenheimer, and Myra Helms, Midland; sister Malinda Huneycutt, Oakboro; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Canton Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Les Schofield. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home on Cherokee Road.
Memorials: Canton Baptist Church, Building Fund, 24615 Endy Road, Albemarle, N.C. 28001.
