William Douglas “Doug” Barringer
William Douglas “Doug” Barringer, 79, of Gold Hill, entered the more immediate presence of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was born May 8, 1942, in Albemarle, NC to the late Burnie and Alice Forrest Barringer. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his son, Dougie Barringer, sister, Lorene Caudle, and brother Glenn Barringer. Doug is survived by his sweetheart and best friend of 52 years, Gail Owens Barringer and his daughter, Maria and son-in-law, James as well as two brothers and one sister, Bobby Barringer, Alonzo Barringer and Sharon Corl. Doug loved Jesus. He will be missed by his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and his dogs.
Service: The private funeral service was held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Richfield, NC.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to contributor's personal choice of charity in honor of Doug.
