ALBEMARLE Mr. Eudy, 90, of 24556 Cherokee Rd., Albemarle, NC, died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Stanly Memorial Hospital. Born May 9, 1915 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Daniel Alias Eudy and Effie Mae Hatley Eudy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ruth Burris Eudy.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. Funeral is 4 p.m. Sunday at Canton Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mabry officiating. Burial will be in Canton Baptist Church Cemetery, Albemarle.
He was a retired self employed carpenter and farmer.
The family will meet at the home, 24556 Cherokee Rd., Albemarle, NC 28001.
Survivors include sons, Lamar Eudy of Statesville, Sidney Eudy of Albemarle, and Ervin Eudy of Oakboro; daughters, Amelia (Eudy) Barringer of Misenheimer, NC, Myra (Eudy) Helms of Midland; brothers, James Ray Eudy of Oakboro, NC, J.C. Eudy of Albemarle, Gaston Eudy of Albemarle, Melvin Eudy of Oakboro; sisters, Helen Burleson of High Point, NC, Peggy Cox of Norwood, NC, and Myrtle Mabry of Norwood, NC; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
