Betty Sue Swinson Hill
Betty Sue Swinson Hill, 78, of Rockwell, went to be with the Lord and Savior, with her family by her bedside on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at her residence in Rockwell, NC.
She was born January 7, 1941 in Rowan County to the late Arie and Mae Hipp Swinson. Betty worked as a Garden Center Assocaite for Wal Mart. She attended Bible Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hill and her sister Novella Swinson and brothers Gary Wayne and Bill Swinson.
Betty is survived by her children, Don (Amy) Hill, Donna (Steve) Hall of Rockwell, Corey (Krista) Hill of Salisbury; grandchildren, Justin (Megan) Hall, Garrett (and his fiance' Brytnee) Hill, Grant Hill, Gwen Hill and Gabe Hill; two great-grandsons, Cooper Hall and Bryntlee Seay. And also by her brother Larry Swinson and sisters Edith Dorton, Joyce Swinson and Vickie Haynes.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, January 5, 2020, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 11350 Old Concord Road, Rockwell, NC.
The homegoing celebration will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2020, in the Bible Missionary Baptist Church , 11350 Old Concord Road, Rockwell, NC, with Pastor Cody Zorn officiating.
Burial will take place in the Brookhill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the service.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff Novant Health Hospice and Dr. Amin for the care and kindness they showed to Betty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Novant Health Hospice, 1229 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC.
