Mr. David Alan Moore, 59 of Rockwell passed away June 20, 2012 at his residence. David was born November 11, 1952 in Houston, TX. son of Mrs. Lorine "Doodle" Shipton Moore of Rockwell and the late John Douglas Moore.
David graduated from East Rowan High School in 1970 and graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College as a Registered Nurse. He had driven a truck for Ronald Rogers Trucking, and had worked for Meridian Nursing Home while in College, and had worked for V.A. Medical Center in Salisbury, and retired due to health from Rowan Regional Medical Center.
David was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, was a charter member of the gospel group "One Love" and loved Gospel Music.
Survivors in addition to his mother, is Lana Beaver Moore of Salisbury, one son Garrett Moore and wife Jamie of Salisbury. He has two grandchildren, Raeghan Moore and Rylan Moore, and one sister, Kelly M. Thomas of Rockwell.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, Pastor. The family will receive friends at the Church from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Memorials may be sent to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, and Rowan County Humane Society.
