Notes for Lana Gale Beaver
Lana Beaver Moore

Lana Beaver Moore, 62, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born on June 18, 1954 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Carlee A. Beaver and the late Quinn M. Beaver.

After graduating from East Rowan High School and Davis School of Nursing in Statesville, Lana served in various roles at Rowan Regional Medical Center providing tender loving nursing care for 34 years before retiring in 2010 due to declining health issues.

Afterwards, Lana worked at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks as Director of Nursing for several years and then at Genesis Healthcare Salisbury for a time as Night Nurse Supervisor until cancer forced her final retirement.

Lana cherished her years of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a southern gospel group known as "One Love", which released three gospel music CDs. The group enjoyed evangelizing at a number of churches and nursing homes around this region.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Lana's long time dear friend Kay L. Meilinger for always being like a sister to her.

The devoted staff at Genesis Healthcare Salisbury had provided genuine loving care to Lana since October 2015. Her family is very grateful for the compassionate professional end of life care she received at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

The family wishes to express their profound gratitude for the genuine expressions of Christian love directed to Lana by many of the believers from Charity Baptist Church of Kannapolis, NC. Lana was also faithfully supported throughout her illness by many of her nursing sisters and co-workers.

In addition to her parents Carlee and Quinn Beaver, she was preceded in death by her husband David A. Moore; and brothers: Donald W. Beaver, Harold D. Beaver and Gary A. Beaver.

Left to cherish her memories are her step son Garrett A. Moore (Jamie); grand-daughters: Reaghan L. Moore and Rylan S. Moore; brothers: Bobby D. Beaver (Becky), Alan L. Beaver (LaVaughn); sisters-in-law: Helen M. Beaver and Lena K. Beaver; six nephews and a niece.

A 3:00 PM memorial service will be conducted at Charity Baptist Church, 2420 Brantley Rd. Kannapolis, NC on Friday, August 12, 2016. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church prior to the service. At all other times, the family will receive visitors at the home of Alan and LaVaughn Beaver.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, to Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis, or to the charity of your choosing.
