Email from Nelson Page to Lavon Page on Monday, May 4, 1998. The previous Saturday evening the family had been at Somerset Funeral Home in Salisbury. The funeral for Jesse Page was Sunday, May 3.
A fellow came up to me Saturday evening and asked if I was Uncle Adam's boy. I said, "Do you mean Reece?" He said, "Yes." The fellow is a son of Mary Page and Luther Hatley, hence Reece is his first cousin. I forgot to ask when he last saw Reece, but note that there must be at least a little resemblance in our appearances. I think I can bring up a mental picture of Reece, but as a late teenager. Adam's other children, Beatrice and Imogene are much clearer in my memory.
Mary Page and Luther Hatley had 12 children born between 1912 and 1933. I think I was talking to Clevie, born 1925.
[Nelson Page, 16 March 2000] Last night at Lyerly Funeral Home in Salisbury where the family was gathered for George Alexander Page, I again talked with Clevie, and the identification is now definitely correct.
