Bobby Lee Poole of Gold Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2016.
He was born January 30, 1958, in Rowan County, the son of the late Joseph Lee Poole and Pearle Stoner Poole.
He leaves behind a son, Eric Dawson Poole, brothers, Michael Joe Poole (Patti), and Danny Wayne Poole (Janet); sisters Patsy Jane Collins (Mark), Susie Ann Peeler (Kenneth) and Shelia Jean Joslin (Stephen). He also leaves behind nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Bobby was a wonderful father who enjoyed listening to his son play on his guitar and sing. He cherished spending time with his family. A kind and loving person, he enjoyed cooking, gardening and gospel music. He was very close to his nieces and nephews and enjoyed watching them grow up. Bobby was a religious man and a proud and faithful member of his church.
A graduate of East Rowan High School, Bobby worked 32 years at China Grove Cotton Mills. He was employed at Gildan.
Receiving of Friends: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016, Liberty United Methodist Church.
Celebration of Life: 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016, Liberty United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charlie Curtis officiating.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church and designated for the Building Fund.
