Bonnie Parks Drye

Mrs. Bonnie Parks Drye, 61 of Faith, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. Bonnie was born June 9, 1952 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late, Marvin O. Parks and Helen Yost Parks.

Bonnie was a graduate of East Rowan High School and attended Rowan Technical Institute, a member of Faith Baptist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. Bonnie had retired from Lyon Shaw Furniture in 1997 and was currently self-employed with Drye's Rentals. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, attending ball games and swim meets with her grandchildren, going to to the beach and thoroughly enjoyed decorating for the holidays.

Survivors: husband of 45 years, Hoy Drye, son, Gary Drye and wife Pam and their children, Kiersten and Sawyer of Faith, daughter Crystal McKenzie and husband, Mark and their children, Justin, Mason and Sydney of Rockwell, brother, Narv Parks and wife, Susan of Salisbury, sister, Carolyn Peck and husband, David of Raleigh, also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will live in our hearts forever and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: 10:00 to 11:15 AM Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Salisbury

Funeral Service: 11:30 AM Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, conducted by Rev. Steve Holshouser, pastor. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.

Memorials: Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Building Fund, Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC.
