Hellen Ann Eury Powell, 62, of Albemarle, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at her home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 1pm until 3pm at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle.
She was born June 16, 1961 in Stanly County, NC to Jennings “Bud” Eury of Norwood, NC and the late Mary Frances Gibson Eury. Hellen loved taking Beach trips, visiting family and friends, and dining out.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Powell, on January 19, 2017. She is survived by a son, Jeremy Dwight Powell (Mary Jane) of Thomasville, NC, a brother, Jeffery (Dwight) Eury (Lisa) of Granite Quarry, NC and two sisters, Robbie Lowder (Buddy) of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Ruby Morton of Norwood, NC.
Memorials may be made to, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Washington, DC.
