Bessie I. Shepherd, 75, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
She was born in Stanly County on November 8, 1941 to Odell and Dorothy Hall Ridenhour. Bessie loved and enjoyed her dogs.
Preceding her in death were her parents Odell and Dorothy Hall Ridenhour , husband, Charlie Ray Shepherd, Sr., and brother, Frank Ridenhour.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Linda Gobrish, of Albemarle, sons; Charlie Ray Shepherd, Jr., of China Grove, and John Robert Shepherd of the home, Five grandchildren, one step-grandson; two great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Visitation: 2:00 – 3:00 PM., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Rugged Cross Baptist Church, 185 Dukeville Road, Salisbury.
Service: 3:00 PM Saturday April 22, 2017 at the Rugged Cross Baptist Church, with the Rev. Adam Mowbray officiating. Burial will follow in the Trading Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
