Sunday, September 26, 2010 ― Nancy Diane Bowers Hatley, 62, of Hazard Road, Oakboro, N.C., went home to be with her Lord, Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at her home.

Mrs. Hatley was born January 5, 1948, in Stanly County. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.L. Bowers and Martha Jane Huneycutt Bowers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 26, 6-8 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. At other times, they will meet at her home.

The funeral will be Monday, Sept. 27, 11 a.m., with a 30 minute state, at West Albemarle Baptist Church, Albemarle, N.C. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Hwy. 24/27, Oakboro, officiated by her sons, Rev. Adam Hatley and Rev. Jason James Hatley.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Buddy James Hatley, of the home; son, Adam B. Hatley and wife, Candace, of Oakboro; son, Jason Hatley and wife, Karen, of Boca Raton, Fla.; brother, Douglas Bowers and wife, Myra, of Albemarle; sister, Lynn Hunter and husband, Louie, of Oakboro; and grandchildren, Eli Hatley, Emma Hatley, Abigail Hatley and Charlie Hatley.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC, West Albemarle Building Fund, 336 Church St., Albemarle, NC, or Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Eldridge Furr, 640 N. Fourth St., Albemarle, NC.
