Gregory Alexander "Greg" Story
Gregory Alexander "Greg" Story, 51, of China Grove passed away Monday, March 20, 2017. He was born June 20, 1965, in Iredell County, NC, to Lloyd Thomas Story and Patsy Brown Story.
Mr. Story was 1983 graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis and was a Quality Control Team Leader at Freightliner, where he was employed for 27 years. He was a member of the UAW Local 3520 and enjoyed anything pertaining to the lake from fishing to kayaking to skiing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and "fixing up" cars.
Mr. Story is preceded in death by his brother, Randal Thomas Story.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kelly Troutman Story, children, Matthew Scott Story of Cornelius and Karissa Nicole Story of Monroe, sisters, Kathy Story Calder of Gold Hill and Rhonda Story Harringtron of Gold Hill, three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, China Grove, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in First UMC China Grove, conducted by Rev. Jamie Hamrick.
In lieu of flowers please make donations towards tuition for Wingate University School of Pharmacy, where his daughter, Karissa Story, is proudly enrolled.
