Brenda Gail Brown Kluttz
Brenda Gail Brown Kluttz, 76, of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville.
She was born June 3, 1945 in Rowan County to the late Arthur Brown and Mildred Barger Brown Simmerson. Brenda graduated from East Rowan High School. She retired from K-Mart in 2007, after retiring Brenda worked part time for Cracker Barrel in Salisbury. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Faith, NC. Brenda enjoyed traveling with her family to the beach and the mountains. She was an avid sports fan, she loved watching her grandchildren play sports and watching tennis on TV.
Brenda was a very special lady, who was a "Mawmaw" to many.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Kluttz; and sisters, Phyllis Vanhoy, Frankie Vanhoy and Judy Medlin, .
Brenda is survived by her son, Darren Kluttz (Shaney); granddaughters, Mandi Nicole Newton (Ricky Berger) of Rockwell, and Meagan Kluttz; grandsons, Drew Kluttz (Kayla) and Justin Gragg (Chelsie Moore); great-grandsons, Devin Furr, Carter Berger, Braden Gragg, and Cayden Moore; great-granddaughter, Madison Newton; special friend, Tony Hawkins and family; and many neices and nephews. Brenda also has a great-granddaughter arriving in April.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Brookhill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Rockwell, NC, with Mike Kluttz, officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
