Ruby Lee Gregory Morgan

Ruby Lee Gregory Morgan, 77, of Gold Hill, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.  

She was born on January 1, 1940 to the late David and Dorothy Millsaps Gregory in Rowan County. Ruby worked as a seamstress for RW Normans Drapery for over 23 years.  

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church; when she was able Ruby enjoyed volunteering and helping at her church. Ruby enjoyed traveling, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by 3 sisters.

Ruby is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Eli Calvin Morgan, whom she married September 9, 1955; two sons, David Morgan and wife Robin of Rockwell, Calvin Morgan and wife Bonnie of Richfield; two daughters, Ellen Campbell and husband Billy, and Melissa Benton and husband Danny all of Richfield; sister, Evedean Weaver of Churchland; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017, 3:00 pm at the Eastside Baptist Church, Salisbury, NC, with Rev. Joe Black, officiating.

Memorials in memory of Ruby may be made to Eastside Baptist Church.
