Nancy "Jane" Drye Caudle

Nancy "Jane" Drye Caudle, 80, of Gold Hill, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born November 3, 1943, in Rowan County, to the late Claude and Mary Lou Shaver Drye. Mrs.Caudle was a graduate of East Rowan High School and Rowan Tech where she received her LPN degree. She thoroughly enjoyed her job and loved caring for others. Mrs. Caudle was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church where she helped with children's Sunday School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Caudle; infant son, Johnny Ray Caudle; sister, Margaret Miller and her husband, Sammy; and brother, Jim Drye.

Mrs. Caudle is survived by her daughters, Becky Ludwick and husband, Thomas, of Salisbury and Susie Carlisle and husband, Bobby, of Gold Hill; grandson, Daniel Ray Kesler; great-granddaughter, Raylee Kesler; brother, Claude Drye, Jr. and wife, Nancy; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Drye and Sheila Dry and husband, Marvin; and her loving nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Friday, January 19, at Powles Staton Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM on Friday, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Michael Herring officiating.

Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.

Powles Staton Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the family.
