GOLD HILL - Mr. Roger Dee Whitley, 60, of Morgan Road, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Roger was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Cabarrus County, a son of the late William Preston Whitley and Gaynell Fraley Whitley. He worked for K&W Cafeteria in Concord and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Salisbury.
Roger is survived by his wife, Kathy Brady Whitley; sister Frances Carolyn Whitley of Concord; and a brother, Vernon Whitley of China Grove.
Service: A memorial service is schedule for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at Eastside Baptist Church. Pastor Joe Black will officiate.
Memorials: May be sent to Eastside Baptist Church to help with expenses.
