Robert Keith “Bud” Parker, 68, of Statesville passed away Thursday morning January 20, 2022, at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born October 25, 1953, in Rowan County, NC to Martha Bassinger Parker and Harvey Adolphus Parker Jr.
He graduated in 1972 from North Rowan High School and went on to Rowan Tech to graduate from the AHR Program. He retired from Chandler Concrete as the Lumber Shed Manager. He loved Panther football, motorcycles, reading, and watching westerns. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bud is preceded in death by both his parents and a sister Faye Nelson.
Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 10 years Raphelia “Philly” Parker, daughter Amanda Smith (Lynn) of Salisbury, Brother Jimmy Parker (Gennene) of Rockwell, sister Katherine Goodman (Randy) of China Grove, grandchildren Hunter & Justin Smith and blended family Ben Hilton (Brooke) Reed Hilton, Kelly Mecimore (Josh).
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House 2341 Simonton Rd. Statesville, NC, or to Lake Norman Multiple Myeloma Support Group at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center 170 Fairview Rd. Mooresville, NC.
