SALISBURY - Cicero Luther Lyerly, 75, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at his residence.
Born July 21, 1938, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late James Luther Lyerly and Florence Pickler.
Cicero graduated from East Spencer High School and Catawba College. He was a veteran in the United States Army.
Mr. Lyerly was a retired insurance inspector with Equifax and later was employed by North Hills Christian School. He was a member at Union Lutheran Church and the Mildred Merrill Sunday School Class. Cicero enjoyed farming and woodworking.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Margaret Louise Hill Lyerly, who he married Aug. 1, 1965; son Luther John Lyerly (Lauren) of Salisbury; sister Edith Cauble (Eugene) of Salisbury; and grandchild Luther John Lyerly Jr.
Visitation: 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Union Lutheran Church, Dutch Meeting Hall, 4770 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Union Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Nuottila officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery with military honors by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
Memorials: Gerald Bame Scholarship Fund, c/o Union Lutheran Church.

SALISBURY - Cicero Luther Lyerly, 75, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at his residence.
