Thursday, May 29, 2008 — Shelby Jean Gardner Eudy, 68, of 44106 Vickers Store Road, Albemarle, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, in Carolinas Medical Center— Northeast in Concord. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Anderson Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and burial will be in the church cemeterey.
Born June 12, 1939, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of Margie Shaver Gardner of Albemarle and the late J.B. Gardner and was a graduate of Badin High School. She was a former employee of Goody’s and was a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir and Loving Hearts Sunday School Class. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ray Eudy of the home; a son, Phil Eudy and wife, Cherokee, of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Gary Gardner and Danny Gardner, both of Norwood; and a grandchild, Cheyenne Eudy of Nashville, Tenn. The family will receive friends at Anderson Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the service. Memorials may be made to Anderson Grove Baptist Church. Stanly Funeral Home is in charge.
