Minnie Hatley

Sunday, May 11, 2008 — Minnie H. Hatley, 90, formerly of 185 Wilkinson Court, went to be with her Lord Saturday, May 10, 2008. She passed away at the home of her son, Bob Hatley, of 5312 Historic Springs Dr., Concord.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, with Rev. Robert Ervin Hatley officiating. Interment will be at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Locust.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the home of son, Bob Hatley, 5312 Historic Springs Dr., Concord.

Mrs. Hatley was born January 11, 1918 in Stanly County to the late Isaac Hatley and Melinda Huneycutt Hatley. She was retired from Cannon Mills. She was a member of Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church of Locust and Women of the Moose Chapter 2041 in Concord.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Britton Floyd Hatley, and son, Teddy Joe Hatley. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Dora H. Tucker, Dallie H. Harwood, Ann H. Blackwelder and Virginia H. Love, and brothers, James Charles Hatley, George Clevie Hatley and Willie Hatley.

Surviving are son, Bobby Lee Hatley and wife, Sharon, of Concord; daughter, L. Sue Rushing and husband, Gene, of Concord; and two sisters, Hilda H. Crayton of Locust and Emma H. Huneycutt of Mt. Pleasant. Also, she is survived by seven grandchildren, Terry Rushing of Locust, Timmy Rushing, Danny Rushing, Mark Hatley and Roger Hatley, all of Concord, Debbie Rushing Williams of Spartanburg, S.C., and Todd Hatley of Wilmington; two stepgrandchildren, Kenneth McDaniel and Annette Deese, both of Locust; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Boy Scout Camp Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, is serving the Hatley family.
