Ms. Linda Elaine Josey File, 60 of Salisbury died December 2, 2007 at her residence. Ms. File was born June 17, 1947 in Rowan County, NC, daughter of Mrs. Bernice Eleanor Safrit Josey and the late Mr. Martin Luther Josey. Ms. File attended the Rowan County Schools and was retired from the weave room at Cannon Mills. She loved the mountains.
Ms. File is survived by her mother, Bernice Eleanor Safrit Josey, a son, Mr. James Richard File, Jr., brother Alvin Wayne Josey and sister Brenda Joyce Kirby and Grandchildren James Edward File, Benjamin Davis File, and Shannon Grayce File all of Salisbury, NC. Ms. File is preceded in death by her brother, Steven Lee Josey.
The funeral for Ms. File will be 3:00 PM on Tuesday at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Sides, pastor, Emmanuel Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home before the service 1:30 to 3:00 pm. on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice.
