Leroy L. Wagner

Mr. Leroy L. "Bunch" Wagner, 77 of Gold Hill passed away July 5, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wagner was born February 20, 1935 in Rowan County son of the late Winfred Wagner and Lula Heilig Wagner. Bunch attended Morgan Elementary and Rockwell High School. He retired from Schultz Homes in Richfield working in maintenance. Mr. Wagner was a charter member of the Gold Hill Fire Dept., and attended the Gold Hill Wesleyan Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Hammill, and a granddaughter, Vickie Earnhardt Mace.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Taylor Wagner whom he has been married to for 57 years, his children are Teresa Earnhardt and husband Ralph, Sherry Smith and husband Wesley, Tammy Wagoner, Kenneth Wagoner and Ricky Wagoner. Brothers are James Wagoner, and Grady Wagoner, and sisters, Mary Kathryn Hampton and Betty Fesperman. His grandchildren are Michael Earnhardt, Melissa Smith Simmons and husband Zach, Brian Smith, Cameron Wagoner and Alexis Wagoner. Great Grandchildren are Dakota Mace, Jacob Earnhardt and Ava Grace Simmons.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, at Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, conducted by Rev. Harold Bumby, Pastor, and Rev. Roland Smith, with burial in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church from 3:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service.
