Lillian Taylor Wagner

Lillian Taylor Wagner, of Gold Hill passed away at her residence on Friday April 8, 2016. She was born on December 1, 1935 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Charles Ray Taylor and Estelle Eudy Taylor.

Lillian was a lifelong member of St. Paul Wesleyan Church. She served on the Board of Directors and taught Sunday School for many years. Lillian enjoyed reading and she loved to work in her garden and spend time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wagner; two brothers, Charles Taylor and Joe Ray Taylor; a sister, Lolly T. Barringer; and a grandchild, Vickie Earnhardt Mace.

She is survived by two sons, Ken Wagoner of Gold Hill, and Rick Wagoner of Salisbury; three daughters, Teresa W. Earnhardt and husband Ralph of Gold Hill, Sherry W. Smith and husband Wesley of Gold Hill, and Tammy Wagoner of Gold Hill; five grandchildren, Michael (Lacie), Melissa (Zach), Brian, Cameron, and Alexis; and three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Jacob, and Ava.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday April 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Gold Hill Wesleyan Church, conducted by Pastor Philip Martin. The burial will take place following the service in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Wesleyan Church, Gold Hill, NC; or to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care.
