Larry Keith “Jim” Shepherd, 78 of Albemarle passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his son’s home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Full Gospel Mission Church in Albemarle. Rev. Mitchell Cook and Rev. Jeremy Blake will officiate and burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00, Tuesday evening, September 15, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mr. Shepherd was born December 26, 1936 in Stanly County. He was a son of Pauline Shepherd Davenport and step-father, Daniel Furr. He was a retired Engineer of EJ & E Railroad Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Burleson Shepherd.
He is survived by his sons, Roy K. Shepherd and wife, Lisa of Richfield, Larry A Shepherd and wife, Lisa of Albemarle; daughters, Sheila G. Justice and husband, Larry of Portage, IN, Vicky A Shepherd of Mount Pleasant and Loretta S. Barringer and husband Tony of Mount Gilead; brother, Roger Furr and wife, Janice of Mount Pleasant and special friend, Margie Hahn of Albemarle; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the home of Larry A Shepherd.
