Pauline Shepherd Furr Davenport
ALBEMARLE — Pauline Shepherd Furr Davenport, 81, 1317 Sunset Ave., died Saturday (Sept. 2, 2000) at Britthaven of the Piedmont.
Born Nov. 4, 1918, in Moore County, Mrs. Davenport was a daughter of the late Mattie Elizabeth Copeland and Vick Dockery Shepherd. She was a former spinner at Wiscassett Mills. Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by first husband Daniel Monroe Furr, second husband James Edward Davenport and sons Walter Ray Furr and Joseph Carroll Furr.
Survivors include sons Jim Shepherd and Darrell Furr, both of Albemarle, Marshall Monroe Furr, Charlotte, and Roger Daniel Furr, Mount Pleasant; daughter Maxine Sexton, Concord; brother William Ray Shepherd, Greensboro; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services:11 a. m. Monday, Hartsell Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dolan Talbert.
Burial, Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at 704 Salisbury Ave.
