Death of Mrs. Martha Weems Dotson

Mrs. Martha Weems Dotson died last evening at 11:30 o'clock at the home of her son, George W. Dotson, on Front street. The funeral service is to be conducted there at 3:30 this afternoon, Rev. Chas. E. Raynal, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, of which she was a member, officiating. The pall bearers are Messrs. W. J. and Robert Poston, Dorman Thompson, Allen Mills, James A. Knox, and Clarence Steele. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs. Dotson was a naitve of Missouri. (She was born in Tennessee.) She was twice married, her first husband being Mr. Daniel Eagle, who immigrated to Missouri from Iredell county. He died during confinement as a prisoner of war during the Civil War, and afterwards she came here with the children to live with his people. Later she married the late Mr. James F. Dotson. Surviving her by her first marriage are Mrs. D. B. Stearns and Mr. Sterling Eagle; by her second marriage, Mrs. H. T. Steele and Mrs. Emmett Morrison and Mr. George W. Dotson, with whom she made her home.
