Sunday, February 13, 2011 — Larvene Hatley Eury, 76, of the Finger Community, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011.

Mrs. Eury was born September 2, 1934, in Stanly County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Frank Eury in 2008; father, Ulysses Alexander Hatley; and mother, Dora Isabelle Page Hatley.

She was the retired owner and operator of F&L Spreading Service and a member of Salem United Methodist Church for over 55 years. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing and cooking.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 11 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 12 at Salem United Methodist Church, officiated by Jacqueline Tookey.

Surviving family members are daughters; Lisa Almond and husband Randy, and Lana Bunting and husband Jeff, all of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Ted A. Hatley of Albemarle; sister, Cedel H. Lowder of Albemarle; grandchildren, Misty Smith, Jeremy Almond and Landon Bunting; and great-grandchild, Bristol Smith.
