Douglas 'Doug' Fairbanks Kuykendall
The funeral will be Friday for Douglas 'Doug' Fairbanks Kuykendall, 75, Salisbury, who died Wednesday (July 11, 2001) at his home.
Born Aug. 1, 1925, in Rowan County, Mr.Kuykendall, a son of the late Hal B. and Pearl Gantt Kuykendall, was educated in the Rowan County schools. In 1987, he retired from Owen-Illinois, where he worked in the shipping and receiving department. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Mildred Lippard Kuykendall, whom he married Dec. 6, 1947; and sister Miriam Deal, Faith.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Faith Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles R. Brawley. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial, church cemetery.
Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell. At other times the family will be at the home of Miriam Deal, Faith.
