SALISBURY - John "Allen" Peeler, 55, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Allen was born July 9, 1952, in Rowan County, the son of John T. and Helen Caskey Peeler of Salisbury. A 1970 graduate of South Rowan High School, following graduation Allen worked for PPG, Fiber Industry and was a carpenter with his dad, John T. Peeler. Allen was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and activities with his grandchildren.
Allen was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Burton.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Pamela Wagner Peeler, whom he married May 2, 1971; daughter Jenny Peeler Yost of Salisbury; brothers Terry Peeler of Kannapolis and Gary Peeler of Salisbury; sister Julie Peeler Allred of Salisbury; and grandchildren Michael Scott Yost and Justin Kyle Yost.
Service and Visitation: A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Larry Beaver, pastor of Main Street Baptist Church, China Grove. Visitation will follow after the service.
Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the Peeler family.
