SALISBURY - Linda Kay Peeler Burton, 55, of 1034 Delray Drive, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Burton was born Sept. 5, 1950, in Rowan County to John Thomas and Helen Caskey Peeler of Salisbury. She was a 1968 graduate of South Rowan High School and was a homemaker. A member of St. Paul 's Lutheran Church, she taught the second grade Sunday School class and was a former Cub Scout leader.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Donald Herbert Burton, whom she married Dec. 18, 1968; sons Derek Paul Burton (April) of Salisbury and David Alan Burton (friend, Janie Blackwelder) of Salisbury; brothers Terry Peeler (Shelia) of Kannapolis, Gary Peeler (friend, Brenda) of Salisbury and Allen Peeler (Pam) of Salisbury; and sister Julie Allred (Melvin) of Salisbury.
Service : Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul 's Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. William Ketchie. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation : The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 tonight at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove.
Memorials : Memorials may be made to St. Paul 's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is assisting the Burton family in making the arrangements for their loved one.
