Lucille Eagle Baker
Lucille Eagle Baker, 92, of Salisbury, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 2004) at Carillon Assisted Living of Salisbury.
Born Aug. 14, 1912, in Salisbury, Mrs. Baker was a daughter of the late Grover Victor and Mary Lee Poole Eagle. She was educated in the Rowan County schools and graduated from Boyden High School.
A homemaker, she was previously employed at Cannon Mills. She was the oldest member of Trinity Baptist Church in Spencer where she taught Sunday school for several years and was a member of the Ladies Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Mike "Buddy" Baker, who died Dec. 9, 1956.
Survivors include daughters Ruth Baker Brown of Wilmington and Fay Baker Cobb of Salisbury; sister Pearl E. Campbell of Granite Quarry; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: Graveside, 11 a.m. Monday at Rowan Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Snipes officiating.
Visitation: The body will remain at Summersett Funeral Home until taken to the cemetery for the service.
