Terry Lee Upton, 59, of Salisbury, NC went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Upton was born January 4, 1950 in Rowan County, son of the late Wilbur Allen Upton and Edna Fesperman Yost. He was a 1964 graduate of Whiteville High School, Whiteville Community College and Rowan Cabarrus Community College. He was employed for 30 years by Fiber Industries. Mr. Upton was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was also a member of The Spencer Moose Lodge. He was an avid fresh water and salt water fisherman.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his step-daughter Shelia Diane Wyatt, his special dog Lance and his baby dog Dixie.
Mr. Upton is survived by his wife Brenda "Kay" Upton, whom he married July 2, 1981, step-sons Steven Wyatt and wife Belinda of China Grove, Ray Wyatt and wife Tina of Hampton, TN, and Richard Wyatt and wife Misty of Richfield, brother David Allen Upton of Rockwell, sister Katherine Tart of Salisbury, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
