SALISBURY - Linda Kay "Sissy" Stoner Allman, 63, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center with family and friends at her side.

Born Dec. 9, 1949, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late James Ray Stoner and Virgie Efird Stoner. She retired from Gerber Children's Wear after 24 years, attended Rowan County Schools and was a devoted wife of 25 years. She cherished her family, enjoyed gospel music and trips to the beach.

Mrs. Allman is survived by her loving husband, Everette Lee Allman; brother Thomas Ray Stoner and wife (Judy); sister Jeanette S. Yost and fiance (Tom Loflin); step-children include Phillip Allman of Kannapolis and Teresa Neumeister (Lee) of Salisbury; nieces Patricia Simpson of Monroe, Lorie Y. Cohen of Salisbury; nephews, Thomas Ray Stoner, Jr. of Pageland, S.C. and Michael Yost of Salisbury; grandchildren Mandi, Dixie, Hunter, and Trevor; three great-grandchildren; two great nieces and three great nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell and other times at the home.

Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Powles Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Larry Perry officiating.

Memorials: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the family of Mrs. Allman.
