Thursday, February 20, 2014 — Lois Jeanette Huneycutt Morton, 82 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.
Jeanette was born July 27, 1931, in Stanly County, to the late Paul Elias Huneycutt and the late Hattie Huneycutt. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Anthony Morton.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Joe Smith, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 22182 Canton Road, Albemarle.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Morton, of Albemarle; daughter, Connie Morton-Ewbank of Lowell, Mass.; and one grandson, Isaac Morton.
Memorials may be made to Endy Volunteer Fire Department.
