William Price “Bill” Eudy

William Price “Bill” Eudy, 95, of Albemarle, formerly of High Point, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Bethany Woods Nursing Center.  His funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday in the Albemarle Wesleyan Church with Rev. James Valk, Rev. John Vernon, Rev. Barry Whitley officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 AM at the Wesleyan Church prior to the service.

Born August 26, 1921 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Doke Eudy and Mattie Cook Eudy.  Mr. Eudy was educated in the Albemarle Schools and Southern Pilgrim College in Kernersville.  He worked as a barber in High Point for many years. He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church in High Point where he was very active in church life as long as his health permitted.  He was also a bus driver for Wesleyan Transportation Ministries in High Point.  Mr. Eudy was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII, where he served in the Asiatic-Pacific.

Mr. Eudy was preceded in death by his wife Iola Hicks Eudy.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Etta Sells Eudy, the mother of his children. He is survived by three daughters, Billie E. Burleson of Albemarle, Bobbie E. Whitley and husband Barry of Albemarle, and Pamela E. Harris and husband Steve of New London, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Norman Eudy and Harold Eudy and 2 sisters Beulah Eudy Talbert and Ozell Eudy Morgan.

The family requests that memorial be made to Hopsice of Stanly and the Uwharrie.
