Bobby Frank Morgan

Bobby Frank Morgan, 84, of China Grove, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

He was born February 19, 1937, in Rowan County, to the late Gilmer and Geneva Louise Morgan Morgan. Mr. Morgan attended Morgan School and Rockwell High School. He was employed with Cannon Mills before retiring from Tuscarora Mills in 2009. He was also employed by Frank Corriher Beef and Sausage for a number of years. Mr. Morgan was a member of East Corinth Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and usher. He enjoyed spending his time watching TV - especially Atlanta Braves baseball, working on cars - especially Ford Mustangs, going to church, grilling, and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior Morgan and Charles Morgan.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Beck Morgan, whom he married, June 29, 1958; children, Thomas Frank "Tommy" Morgan of China Grove, Michael "Dale" Morgan and wife, Pam, of Rockwell, Deborah Kay Paxton and husband, Jimmy, of Salisbury, and Amy Elizabeth Kluttz and husband, Mike, of Rockwell; sisters, Margaret Casper of Gold Hill, Sylvia Casper of Gold Hill, and Ruth K. Safrit of Richfield; brother, Eli Morgan of Gold Hill; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM on Friday, September 10, at East Corinth Baptist Church.

The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM on Friday, in the church with Rev. Johnny Daniel officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Corinth Baptist Church, 12510 Stokes Ferry Road.
