Wilma Frances Sells
Wilma Frances Overcash Sells, age 100, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Pruitt Health in Harrisburg. Wilma was born in Rowan County on December 27, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Manlius Lee Overcash and Maggie Martha Lee Deal Overcash. She was also preceded in death by her son Coy Shive and daughter Marlene Beaver.
Wilma loved her Lord, her church and her family and particularly loved to take care of her grandchildren. She was an excellent seamstress, was known as the "Hat Lady".
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter in law Patricia Shive, her sisters Marguerite Shive, Zelia Padgett and Claudette Brown. Also surviving her are her five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service for Mrs. Sells will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 am at Organ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Salisbury with Pastor Carlin Ours, officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pruitt Health for the excellent care that she received during her time there.
