Edith Juanita Nobles

Edith Juanita Nobles, 82, passed away into the Lord's loving arms on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born on January 27, 1929 in Salisbury, NC to C. R. and Irene Isabelle (Daniels) Melton.

She was a resident Alamogordo since 1950. She worked with the youth at Mountain View Baptist in the 1970's. She loved gardening where she grew vegetables and flowers which she shared with others. She was a hardworking, loving and generous woman. She was a faithful friend. She was also a faithful prayer warrior and a member of Christ Community Church.

Survivors include her daughter; Cathy Cox and Husband Danny of Las Cruces, NM; granddaughter, Cassandra Cox of Las Cruces, NM; brother-in-law, John Nobles and Wife Jeannie; Sister-in-law, Bobbie Melton and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. ""Tony"" Nobles; her children, Pamela Jean and Joseph Antonio Nobles; her parents, C. R. Melton, Sr. and Irene Melton; a brother, C. R. Melton, Jr. and a sister, Delores Young

Graveside services for Edith Juanita Nobles will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Monte Vista Cemetery with Pastor Jack Brock officiating.

The family will greet friends from Noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.

Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Youth Programs at Christ Community Church or American Cancer Society.

The Nobles family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
