Ricky Drew Corl, 63, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury, NC.
He was born March 16, 1954 in Salisbury, NC to the late H.C. and Opal Jones Corl. Ricky was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwell, he loved going to church and being with his church family.
He enjoyed watching any sports on TV, and listening to gospel music.
Ricky's parents were told that he'd never live to see two years old, but he lived to be 63 and spread love everywhere he went.
Ricky is survived by brother, Randy Kent "Huck" Corl and wife Belinda of Granite Quarry, NC; three aunts, Cleo Ward, Evelyn Jones, and Frances Mahanes; two uncles, Guy Jones, and James Jones; two nephews, Matt Corl and wife Ashley, and Murphy Corl; three nieces, Meagan Threatte and husband Joey, Amanda Wirz and husband Jon, and Erica Nelson and husband Justin; 8 grand nieces and 1 grand nephew and numerous cousins.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Saturday, December 16, 2017, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.
The graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2017, in the First Baptist Church of Rockwell Cemetery, Rockwell, NC, with Rev. Matthew Laughter, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Ricky may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Rowan County, or to First Baptist Church of Rockwell.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Uncle Guy for his visits and time spent with Ricky.
