GOLD HILL - Mr. Leo "Pearl" Wagoner, 92, of Gold Hill, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury.

He was born March 24, 1922, in Cabarrus County to the late Lizel Rollins and Huldah Barrier Wagoner. A graduate of Richfield High School, Pearl was employed by Earnhardt Lumber Company, where he was a mechanic. He was also a farmer.

He was a member of Gold Hill Wesleyan Church and an honorary member of Flatwoods Hunt Club. Pearl was a volunteer with Gold Hill Volunteer Fire Department, where he was also a first responder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Margie Elizabeth Misenheimer Wagoner; brother Carl Wagoner; and six sisters, Addie Troutman, Christine Ludwig, Helen Lentz, Louise Earnhardt, Dail Jackson and Mildred Jenkins.

Pearl is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Wagoner Claycomb of Gold Hill; sister Mrs. Betty Jean Zum Brunnen of Salisbury; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 27 from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at Gold Hill Wesleyan Church.

Service: The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Monday at Gold Hill Wesleyan conducted by Rev. Philip Martin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials: May be made to Gold Hill Wesleyan Church.
