Martha Sue Haynes

Martha Sue Hinson Haynes, 79, of Gold Hill, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at her home. She was born on May 13, 1936 to Jasper William "Big Jack" and Mary Hill Hinson, in Rowan County, NC.

She was educated in the Rowan County Schools System. Martha worked for and retired from Cannon Mills Plant 7.

Martha was a member of Canaan Baptist Church since 1985, she was active in all phases of her church. She loved fishing, baking, gardening and going to yard sales. Martha loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by husband, Tom B. Haynes, Daughter, Sandra "Sube" Moss

Martha is survived by two sons, Arnold Ray Null of Gold Hill, and Jeffery Allen Null of Spencer; four daughters, Carolyn "Casey" Jones and husband Larry of Bluff City, TN, Terry Hand of Gold Hill, Sharon "Shaney" Kluttz and husband Darren of Rockwell, and Melissa Eagle and husband Maurice of Gold Hill; step-children, Larry Haynes and wife Lynn, Keith Haynes and wife Cherie, Carol Peck and husband Howie, and Julie Kjems and husband Bill; four sisters, Beatrice Shinn of Rockwell, Rachel Beaver of Rockwell, Shirley Kepley and husband Lloyd of Salisbury, and Faye Eller and husband Bill of Landis, NC. Martha is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Canaan Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015, 2:30 pm at Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Graham, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brookhill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Martha may be made to Canaan Baptist Church 785 Barringer St. Salisbury NC.
