Howard Ray Null

BLUFF CITY, Tennessee - Howard Ray Null, age 72, 244 Sigman Hollow Road, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home following a lengthy illness. 

A native of Rowan County, N.C., Mr. Null was a son of the late John and Carrie J. Holshouser Null. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War, and received the Purple Heart award. He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Moss. 

Survivors include daughters Carolyn Jones, Bluff City, Terry Whitaker, Salisbury, N.C., Sharon Kluttz, Rockwell, N.C. and Melissa Eagle, Gold Hill, N.C.; sons Arnold Ray Null, Marion, N.C. and Jeffery Null, Spencer, N.C.; sisters Mary Deal, Millbridge, N.C., Margaret Morgan, Mooresville, N.C. and Geneva Kirksey, Salisbury; brothers Franklin Null, Salisbury, Thomas Null, Georgia, and Richard Null, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Service and Visitation: The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tenn. Military Honors will be accorded by VFW Post 2166. Those attending the service will meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. 

Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
