SALISBURY - "Bobby" Gene Josey, 78, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Josey was born July 10, 1930, in Rowan County, the son of the late Banks Josey and Dorothy Basinger Josey. Mr. Josey was educated at Parks School, Shuping Mill, was a member of Organ Lutheran Church and retired from China Grove Cotton Mill.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Josey was preceded in death by his wife Allerid Park Josey on December 27, 2005.
Survivors include son Randy Josey, Sr. and wife Angie of Salisbury; granddaughter Susan Josey; grandson Randy Josey, Jr.; great-grandson Hunter Blair Wall of Salisbury; brother Carl Josey of Salisbury; and sisters Helen Castor and Betty Sifford of Salisbury and Charlotte Crainshaw of Kannapolis.
Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell, and the remainder of the time, at the residence of Halena Heilig of Rockwell.
Graveside Services: 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 at Organ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Salisbury, conducted by Rev. Terrell Long, Pastor, and Rev. Robert Yount, Visitation Pastor.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund.
