Clarence "Doc" Brady
Clarence "Doc" Lentz Brady, 82, of Gold Hill passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Mr. Brady was born on May 21, 1926 in Rowan County, a son of the late John and Eva Morgan Brady. Mr. Brady was a 1944 graduate of Rockwell High School. He retired from Burlington Industries as a Supervisor, and he was a member of First Baptist Church of Gold Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Galloway Brady, whom he married on June 28, 1970; two sons: Bobby Brady of Gold Hill, and John Brady and wife Karen of Richfield; two daughters: Peggy Caton and husband Bailey of Concord, and Patsy Brown and husband Paul of Spartanburg, SC; step-sons: J.C. Perry and wife Sherry, Larry Perry, Alfred Perry and wife Cathy, and Mike Perry all of Gold Hill; a sister, Janet Howell of Gold Hill, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July, 26 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Gold Hill with the Rev. Toney Parsons, Pastor officiating. Mr. Brady will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Gold Hill Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, at Powles Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:30 in the evening.
