Annie Lucille Hopkins Deal
Mrs. Annie Lucille Hopkins Deal, 86, of Salisbury passed away on Friday August 10, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Deal was born on September 5, 1925 in Rowan County, daughter of the late William and Ethel Wiles Hopkins. She was educated in the Stanly County School System, and worked for Collins & Aikman in Faith.
Lucille was a member of Luther's Lutheran Church in Richfield, she was a member of the Women's Group, a Sunday School Teacher, and was active in all phases of her church. She loved cooking, canning and baking.
In addition to her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by brothers, Alfred Hopkins and Ray Hopkins.
Survivors: Lucille is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Wilbert Alexander Deal whom she married on October 18, 1941. Daughters, Linda Plummer and Husband Gene of Salisbury, Helen Safrit and husband Johnny of Salisbury, and Amy Fesperman and husband Rick of Salisbury. Brother, Melvin Hopkins of Salisbury and sister, Margie Sides of Walkertown. 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Service: The funeral service will be held on Monday August 13, 2012 at 3 PM at Luther's Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Beaver. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday August 13th from 2 to 3 pm prior to the service at Luther's Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be made to Luther's Lutheran Church 4955 Richfield Road, Richfield NC 28137.
