SALISBURY - Mr. James Leon Casper, 73 of Salisbury, NC passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.
James was born April 10, 1934 in Rowan County, the son of the late James Alexander Casper and Amanda Shepherd Casper. James was educated in the Rowan County Schools, a member of the Old Country Baptist Church, Salisbury and worked for and retired from the NC Department of Transportation.
James was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Casper.
Survivors are wife, Geraldine Lane Casper, whom he married in 1961; sons, James Lee Casper and Joshua Wayne Casper and wife Cheryl, daughters, Sandra Jean Nollenberger and husband Michael, Wanda Sue Javis and husband Jim and Tammy Howard Wilson, all of Salisbury; grandchildren, Heather Casper, Felica Casper, Michelle Casper, Crista Casper, William Nollenberger, Kayla VanBuren, Jamie Javis, Allen Pruit, Jr., Hunter Casper, Jimmy Javis and Amanda Nollenberger.
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 pm today, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Funeral Services: 2:00 pm Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell, conducted by Rev. Wade Tom Lomax, Pastor of Old Country Baptist Church, Salisbury. Burial to follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell.
